Changes are coming to a roadway in the rapidly growing Southwest Boise neighborhood.
The Ada County Highway District has plans to widen Amity Road between Cloverdale and Five Mile roads, located outside of Boise city limits, in 2028.
The roughly $10.7 million project will improve the one-mile stretch by widening it to three lanes, with one travel lane still in each direction and a continuous center turn lane so turning cars won’t halt traffic through the area. The project will also add a ten-foot multi-use pathway on both sides of Amity Road for cyclists and pedestrians to use, as opposed to an on-street bike lane and sidewalk…
