CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — The Argus Observer in Ontario is reporting that an 18-year-old Caldwell man has been arrested after he apparently began firing a handgun near Alameda Elementary School.
According to reporting by the Argus Observer, a man later identified as Joshua Eron Molvig was on school grounds at Alameda Elementary School on Thursday afternoon. A staff member watching the children play outside approached Molvig, who allegedly ran off, entering a home across the street.
A Malheur County Sheriff’s deputy arrived on the scene, spotting Molvig crouched behind a storage shed. Molvig began firing a handgun in the opposite direction, ignoring the deputy’s commands to drop the weapon.
