Boise police detonate IEDs found when serving warrant. Two arrested

Several improvised explosive devices were detonated by the Boise police bomb squad Tuesday after they were discovered while serving a search warrant on Alfred Court on the far-west Bench.

Police were in the process of serving the warrant on suspicion of drug crimes when the devices were discovered, according to a Boise Police Department Facebook post on Thursday.

Residents of the neighborhood were notified to shelter in place by officers going door to door “due to the suspected volatility of the devices,” the post said. The neighborhood remained under that order for two to three hours, according to Boise police spokesperson Haley Williams…
