More firefighters mean a quicker response in an emergency.
The City of Boise has a new ten-year plan to add staff to more stations city-wide to expand its four-person staffing model. The new plan examined which stations can most accommodate extra firefighters, get the most calls, and have the most infrastructure risks for fire. This led to recommendations that stations across the city have more staff, not just the far-flung stations on the perimeter.
