BOISE, ID – A Salvadoran man has been sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison after illegally reentering the United States following multiple deportations.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho, 37-year-old Jorge Humberto Caballero-Umana was sentenced Tuesday, May 20, to 30 months in federal prison for being a deported alien found in the United States.
Caballero-Umana, a native of El Salvador, was lawfully removed from the country in January 2018 and again in January 2020. Authorities say he returned to the U.S. without permission and was located by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Ada County, Idaho, in June 2024…
