Win cute prizes and instant ramen: Japanese-style arcade coming to Boise

Mathew and Susie Gillikin aim to replicate a Tokyo street market with their new arcade in Boise’s Idaho Capital Asian Market plaza.

Isekai, which means a fantasy world that a human enters, will feature more than 100 gashapon, claw, and vending machines, filled with tiny toys, plushies, and authentic Japanese snacks and drinks.

“So, like Alice in Wonderland, Wonderland is an isekai because Alice went into it,” Mathew Gillikin explained. “So we named the arcade Isekai because when you go in, you feel like you’re being sucked into this Tokyo night street market. It really feels like an immersive experience.”
