Civil War reenactors pay tribute with graveside service at Morris Hill Cemetery

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Memorial Day events across the Treasure Valley gave pause to remember and honor those who served our country and lost their lives in that service.

At Morris Hill Cemetery, Civil War reenactors conducted their annual graveside service, including a 21-gun salute. The Civil War Volunteers group raised a flag to pay tribute to fallen soldiers from then and now.

The silent camp section on the west side of Morris Hill Cemetery is the final resting place of dozens of Union Army veterans. Flowers were laid on the markers of various unknown soldiers. Several hundred people attended the ceremony…
