BOISE, Idaho — More than 100 volunteers worked together to frame an entire two-story home in just a few hours on Saturday morning.
The Boise church Cathedral of the Rockies hosted its 15th house framing event in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Tri-County Partners and Help Build Hope, a nonprofit that preps blueprints for easy-to-assemble homes. The walls framed at the event will be transported to Tri-Cities, Washington, where a family in the Tri-Cities area will move in.
“Today is when the church really gets to be the church,” said Pastor Duane Anders, lead pastor at Cathedral of the Rockies. “We gather for worship or Bible study, but we also gather to make the world better.”…
