Lori Vallow Daybell files Idaho appeal while facing her third trial in Arizona

IDAHO, USA — Lori Vallow Daybell, the so-called “Doomsday Mom” convicted of murdering her two children and conspiring to kill her ex-husband and her husband’s former wife, has filed a comprehensive appeal challenging her life sentence, claiming multiple constitutional violations during her high-profile trial.

The appeal, filed May 30 by attorney Craig H. Durham, seeks to overturn Daybell’s unanimous guilty verdict delivered May 12, 2023, in Ada County District Court. Daybell was convicted on all six charges related to the 2019 deaths of her 16-year-old daughter Tylee Ryan, 7-year-old son JJ Vallow, her ex-husband Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, the former wife of her husband Chad Daybell.
