BOISE, Idaho — In a Wednesday news release, a drug sweep was performed at an Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) facility. Reports show that officials performed the drug sweep successfully, and “without finding any major contraband.”
In a collaborative effort from the Boise Police Department, the Nampa Police Department, and the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, a targeted security operation to search for contraband was performed at the Idaho State Correctional Center, which is the state’s largest men’s prison.
The news release states that the search was focused on the C-Block of Idaho State Correctional Center (ISCC). Officials looked in all areas of C-Block, including education and vocational classrooms, as well as housing units…
