Bacteria levels drop below state standards at local ponds

BOISE, Idaho — The latest water quality test results indicate that bacteria levels at Pond 1 have fallen below state standards, allowing for the removal of warning signs at Esther Simplot Park.

The city’s other swimming ponds, including Quinn’s Pond, also continue to test below state standards. If bacteria concentrations are above state standards, a pond could be closed to swimmers until bacteria levels are within safe levels…
