Boise man drowns after inner tube accident on the Boise River

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise Police responded to multiple calls about a possible drowning on the Boise River near 9th Street and River on June 30, around 5:36 p.m.

Officers arrived to find people performing CPR on a man. Officers took over CPR until Boise Fire and Ada County Paramedics arrived and took the victim to a local hospital. The man did not survive.

According to a preliminary investigation, the man was floating down the river with friends when his single inner tube got caught on a tree, and he went underwater…
