ADA COUNTY, Idaho — A slew of ambulance crashes in Ada County has initiated a significant change to the appearance of emergency vehicles.
According to Deputy Chief Peter Humlen of Ada County Paramedics, the recent crashes were not caused by reckless driving or emergency speeds, but rather by the appearance of the ambulance.
“Recently, we had a slew of ambulance crashes that were not the result of the way we were driving or us going code three,” Humlen said. “It was the fact that we were blending in so much that we were getting hit by other drivers.”…
