An officer with the Caldwell Police Department (CPD) was injured on the evening of July 4 while in pursuit of a man accused of stalking who had reportedly fired shots at a victim’s house around 11 p.m.
According to a release from the CPD, officers responded to the Kiowa Creek area after receiving reports that 68-year-old Fred Carter fired shots at a person whom he’d been stalking. The female victim was unharmed in the incident; however, shots did hit her house.
