With sewer lines a key factor, Meridian considers two large housing projects with hundreds of homes

The first of two Toll Brothers developments on Ustick Rd. and McDermott Rd. will press forward — as long as the city and developer can come to an agreement on sewer infrastructure.

On Tuesday night, the Meridian City Council approved the Springday development on a 5-1 vote. The residential development could bring 170 single-family homes and townhomes to the 40-acre site.

On-site amenities include two sports courts, a swimming pool with changing rooms and restrooms, multi-use pathways, a dog park, and enclosed bicycle storage.

Sewer agreement

According to Energy Solutions’ Becky McKay, who was representing Toll Brothers on the project, the developer wants to partner with the city under a cooperative agreement to get needed sewer lines out to the project quicker…
