Beloved St. Luke’s security K9 Rocky passes away unexpectedly at home

BOISE, Idaho — St. Luke’s Health System is mourning the loss of one of its cherished team members, Rocky, a dedicated security K9 who passed away unexpectedly on July 7.

Rocky, a loyal boxer, succumbed to a heart attack at home while with his handler, Greg Tank.

Rocky began his service at St. Luke’s in 2018 as a puppy, quickly adapting to the hospital environment. He was primarily assigned to the Boise hospital campus but also served at various locations across the Treasure Valley.
