After years of litigation, Interfaith Sanctuary’s move to its State Street location was approved by the city’s planning and zoning commissioners earlier this month. Now talks are set to begin between the neighborhood association of the adjacent residences and the relocating shelter to resolve their differences.
Though Interfaith Sanctuary’s conditional use permit (CUP) was approved by the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission, a decision memo noted commissioners’ finding that “further work needs to be done to address the neighborhood association’s main concerns and to further mitigate impact on the surrounding neighborhood.”…
