GOWEN FIELD — Nearly 100 employers — ranging from Boise’s Whiskey Bar to east Idaho’s Teton High School — gathered at Gowen Field Thursday morning for the Idaho National Guard’s annual Boss Lift event.
For many, it was a first-time glimpse of what some of their employees are responsible for when out of the office.
Employers, selected after being nominated by a service member employee, were bused throughout the airfield to take part in variety of activities including equipment demonstrations, military training simulations and flights on National Guard aircraft, establishing a sense of what is required of service members and providing an opportunity to give back to the employers that accommodate those tasked with shouldering civilian and military responsibilities…
