Meridian Police on Wednesday evening arrested a man who a day earlier fled the scene of a suspected kidnapping.
Daniel Aitchison, a 60-year-old Caldwell resident, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Garden City police news release. Aitchison was being sought by police after he allegedly forced a victim, who was known to him, into a vehicle while brandishing a weapon in Garden City on Tuesday afternoon. Aitchison then allegedly forced the victim to drive around the area for several hours before ending up near the original kidnapping scene. The victim escaped the vehicle and ran into a business, where staff provided them protection and called the police.
Aitchison fled the scene, police said, and a nationwide, fully extraditable no-bond warrant on four felony charges was issued. Police sought the public’s help and urged people to consider him armed and dangerous…
