Meridian, ID (CBS2) — MERIDIAN, Idaho — The spirit of the islands returned to the Kleiner Park at the Idaho Island Festival on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Hosted by the local nonprofit Idaho Pacific Islanders Inc., this free, family-friendly event holds a day full of cultural celebration, featuring live music, traditional dance, island food, workshops, and more.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the festival brings together families, artists, and performers to showcase the rich heritage of Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, and other Pacific Islands. Last year, the event attracted over 10,000 attendees.
Beyond the festivities, the event serves a deeper mission. “All proceeds from the festival support cultural education, youth dance programs, future community events, and workshops,” said Sarah H. “We want to create space for the next generation to be proud of their roots and for our community to experience the beauty of Polynesian culture firsthand.”…
