Idaho man sentenced for killing his stepson following dispute involving victim’s mother

CALDWELL, Idaho (TCN) — A man was recently sentenced for killing his stepson following a dispute involving the victim’s mother.

According to the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, a judge sentenced Felix Torres on July 23 to life in prison for the first-degree murder of his stepson, Danny Borges. Torres will have to serve 27 years before parole eligibility.

On April 17, 2024, the Caldwell Police Department responded to a report of a possible shooting and found the 21-year-old victim. Borges was transported to a hospital and died from his injuries…
