BOISE, Idaho — ACHD reports that Floating Feather Road, between Eagle Road and Downing Drive, remains closed to all traffic following an emergency water main break over the weekend. Veolia crews have been working to stabilize the area after discovering the break was deeper and more complex than initially expected. The leak was found over 15 feet below the surface, running beneath a nearby creek and bridge, necessitating specialized equipment for a long-term fix.
The surface damage to the road is minimal, and all customers have had their water service restored. The damaged section of the main has been isolated and locked off. Crews are currently backfilling the site and applying a cold mix to temporarily patch the excavation. Once cleanup is complete, the road closure will be lifted, and Floating Feather Road will reopen to traffic…
