Neighbors who live on the same block where a homicide took place on Monday in Caldwell are getting their community together next weekend in hopes to have a connecting conversation.
The Idaho Press reported earlier this week about the homicide that took place on the busy one-way Blaine Street in Caldwell on Monday evening. Hope Cornish, an 18-year-old woman, was found dead inside a home near the intersection of Blaine Street and 16th Avenue near the heart of downtown. Her non-biological father, Delbert Cornish, has been arrested and charged with her murder.
Now, Branden Durst, a Treasure Valley native and former politician, is planning to host a barbecue in his backyard for his neighborhood with the goal to create a space where nearby residents can meet each other, share some food, and open the lines of communication amongst each other to create a safer community…
