Boise Bicycle Project launches Boise’s first traffic garden

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Bicycle Project is completing installation of Boise’s first traffic garden in Ann Morrison Park.

The traffic garden is a miniature version of a real street system, designed to help kids and families practice walking, biking, and rolling safely on a car-free safety course. The traffic garden is designed for users to learn road signs and build confidence navigating busy streets.

“We are so excited to invite our community to use this traffic garden to its fullest extent – whether that’s young people (or adults!) riding a bicycle for the first time, participating in safety training to learn the rules of the road or simply experiencing the freedom and opportunity that bicycles present in a safe and fun space.” says Devin McComas, executive director of the Boise Bicycle Project…
