Police: IDOC walkaway back in custody following high-speed chase

BOISE, Idaho — An East Boise Community Reentry Center resident who walked away from the center earlier this month was arrested Monday following a police chase.

Jancee Peirsol was arrested on multiple charges, including a fugitive warrant, for leaving the facility on Aug. 15, according to the Boise Police Department (BPD). She also faces numerous charges from a police chase before her arrest.

Police said officers found Peirsol driving in a parking lot near South Federal Way and South Findley Avenue in Boise and attempted a traffic stop on Monday, Aug. 25. Police said she ignored officers’ commands to exit the vehicle and “instead backed up, rammed a patrol car, knocked over a nearby pole, and drove away.”…
