A temporary trail connecting Dry Creek Ranch to the Ada-Eagle Bike Park is no longer in place after Ada County officials ordered its removal.
As BoiseDev reported, Boise Hunter Homes and Ada County have been in years-long negotiations about a multi-use foothills trail that would connect Dry Creek Ranch to the Ada-Eagle Bike Park. The trail is part of Dry Creek Ranch’s development agreement from when the neighborhood was first approved, but Boise Hunter Homes is under no obligation to finish the trail until its community is fully built out.
This yet-to-be-built trail connection came into the spotlight in recent years after the cycling community, Ada County and the City of Eagle asked Boise Hunter Homes to finish the trail connection sooner after a truck driver killed 14-year-old cyclist Rylan Hoob in the fall of 2022 on the corner of Idaho Highway 55 and Beacon Light Road…
