Book-selling chain Barnes & Noble is just weeks away from opening a new store on the north side of the Village at Meridian, according to signs outside the cordoned-off entrance that say “coming soon” and “opening summer 2025.”
The 20,000-square-foot space is sandwiched between a Michaels craft store and a soon-to-be Nordstrom Rack, which signs say is coming this fall.
The Barnes & Noble location, at 2260 N. Eagle Road, Suite 100, used to be a Gordmans department store. The store closed in 2020 after its parent company filed for bankruptcy, a familiar story for retailers across the country.
