BOISE, Idaho — What began as a pandemic pastime has transformed into a monumental achievement for Boise resident Tanya Edmondson and her mother, Patsy Chase. The duo has completed the world’s largest puzzle, a 60,000-piece puzzle by Dowdle, right in Idaho.
“So this took us from May 2023 to September of 2024, so about a year and a half,” said Edmondson. “And we generally do about a puzzle a week, sometimes two, but mostly a puzzle a week.”
Edmondson discovered the puzzle at Costco. “It was only 1,000 pieces per bag, which meant I just had to do 60 puzzles, no problem,” she said. With the help of her mother, they tackled the project using ten tables to accommodate the massive puzzle…
