Nampa has a possible buyer for the Idaho Center. Kling breaks tie vote to explore next steps

The City of Nampa could soon know if anyone is interested in buying the Idaho Center.

The Nampa City Council approved several items last night to help the city decide on what to do with the Idaho Center: authorizing the city’s attorney to draft a declaration of the intent to either sell or convey the center, allowing city staff to publish a document to discern if anyone is interested in purchasing the center, and seeking quotes for the center’s appraisal.

The vote to draft the conveyance or sale document split 3-3, with council members Victor Rodriguez, Randy Haverfield, and Sebastian Griffin voting no. Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling cast her tie-breaking vote in favor, passing the motion…
