True freshman kicker Canaan Moore makes unexpected contribution in 51-14 win over EWU

BOISE – Canaan Moore wasn’t even on the Boise State roster until a few days before fall camp. Now the true freshman is contributing on The Blue and in the mix to be the starting place kicker.

Moore unexpectedly took over the place-kicking duties in the second quarter of Friday night’s 51-14 win over Eastern Washington after starting kicker Colton Boomer was benched – and made his first four kicks.

“When Boomer was out in fall camp Canaan Moore did a really good job” Boise State coach Spencer Danielson said . “That will be a premium competition to see who’s our field goal kicker.”…
