BOISE, Idaho — Two sections of the popular hiking area at Table Rock will close on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for just one day. Boise Parks and Recreation expects the work to be done on Tuesday afternoon by 3:00 p.m.
According to Boise Parks and Recreation, the closure is so that Ridge to Rivers can put “all-weather material” on the highly-trafficked area. The organization defined the material as “surface material consisting of smoother, compacted topsoil mix,” which is also in place on other trails.
Boise Parks and Recreation said the maintenance is an attempt to remove muddy conditions and improve the trail experience for hikers. These sections are accessible via the trailhead at the Old Penitentiary…
