Boise State University has received a $7.4 million award from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) to launch a new research and education center focused on semiconductors, marking the largest NSF award in the university’s history, Boise State announced in a news release.
The funding, part of the NSF’s EPSCoR Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology program, will establish the Center for Advancing Workforce Experience through Semiconductors, Outreach, and Mentoring Excellence — or “AWESOME.”…
