BOISE, Idaho — Hundreds of Boise State University students and volunteers gathered at Extra Mile Arena Friday afternoon for the annual “Feed the Funnel” event, packing 75,000 shelf-stable meals for local food pantries.
Beta Alpha Psi, the university’s accounting and finance honor society, organized the event and raised tens of thousands of dollars to make it possible. The chapter partners with an Arkansas-based nonprofit, “Pack the Shack,” as well as the national organization “911 day,” and AmeriCorps, which provides food for colleges all over the country to put on events like the one at BSU.
