West Ada hires veteran anchor to head communications team

The West Ada School District has hired a veteran broadcast journalist to head its communications team.

Trustees voted unanimously Monday to hire Michelle Edmonds as chief communications officer. Her first day with the district will be Monday.

Edmonds has more than two decades of communications experience, including 18 years as evening anchor at KIVI-TV and KNIN-TV.

“Michelle is a highly respected public figure across Southwest Idaho, known for her wealth of media experience and her authentic connection to the community,” Superintendent Derek Bub said in a news release. “She believes in our mission, brings credibility and energy to the role, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”…
