ISP & Idaho National Guard hosts its 4th annual ‘Top Gun’ narcotics training program

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A multi-state effort to keep drugs off the streets. This week law enforcement officers and prosecutors across the region are undergoing intensive undercover narcotics training in Boise.

“This will be from start to finish — how to do a drug investigation,” said Idaho State Police, Lt. Jess Stennett.

Police and prosecutors from Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Utah are staying ahead of criminals and cartels, by participating in a week-long training called ‘Top Gun’ at Gowen Field Air Force Base. More than 40 personnel from various state, local and federal agencies will learn to investigate, apprehend, and charge those involved in drug crimes…
