Canyon County leaders raise awareness for domestic violence

CALDWELL – Idaho (CBS2) — Canyon County leaders are raising awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with an official declaration that included survivors sharing their stories.

Sheriff Kieran Donahue addressed the community, noting a 5% increase in violence against family members in Idaho. He emphasized the importance of holding abusers accountable and protecting victims’ rights.

Sheriff Donahue encouraged community involvement, stating, “If you see something, say something. If you know someone in a domestic violence situation or children at a school, talk to a counselor.
