During a time when a slate of national retailers are having to shutter storefront or go out of business altogether, one chain has read between lines and continued to grow with its latest location in Meridian.

Barnes & Noble is preparing to open its second location in the Treasure Valley and its fourth in Idaho. The new storefront is part of The Village at Meridian at 2260 N. Eagle Road, ste. 100, in the same building as Petco and Michael’s.
A grand opening will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 15 for the new 20,000-square-foot shop, which will feature books, of course, along with other publications, toys, gift items and more. It will also feature the B&N Café. Local author Raegan Fordemwalt, whose latest book is entitled “Prince of Hearts,” will attend the ceremony to provide the ribbon cutting, and she will sign copies of her books…
