Coroner’s office names man who died from ‘complications’ after Caldwell crash

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified a pedestrian who died last week after being struck by a vehicle.

David Wassel, of Caldwell, was struck by a vehicle on Oct. 2 near the intersection of East Ustick Road and Cleveland Boulevard in Caldwell, according to a news release from the coroner.

Wassel was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he died a week later from “complications of multiple blunt force injuries,” the coroner’s release said. Wassel, who was 45, died at 12:55 p.m. on Oct. 10, according to the release…
