100-year-old Nampa resident continues ‘chasing the goat’ in old Norwegian dialect

NAMPA — Voices overlapped inside the Crandall house as four generations of women recounted stories from the past century, stemming back to Norway.

Matriarch Alice Crandall celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 11, surrounded by dozens of her descendants. Grandchildren flew in from London, while others drove in from Washington, all under one roof for the first time in a while.
