CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — A 60-year-old woman convicted of aiding and abetting in the second-degree murder of her son-in-law was sentenced Thursday afternoon in Canyon County District Court.
Rosalie Morris was sentenced to 30 years in prison with the possibility of parole after 18 years for her role in the 2024 killing of her son-in-law, Travis Calumpit. Prosecutors said Morris and her daughter, Melissa Calumpit, crossed state lines in July 2024 to carry out a plan to kill Travis, who was later found shot to death at Martin Landing Campground in Parma.
