WILDER — Capping off a tumultuous month for the small town, the Wilder School District welcomed home a notable alumni to join its wall of fame.
ACLU Executive Director Leo Morales accepted a plaque at the Wilder High School auditorium Friday, speaking in front of approximately 500 students of all ages. Morales has a long history of advocacy in Idaho, including his 14 years at ACLU, and has focused on addressing poverty and racial justice according to the organization’s website.
“Thank you for all the work that you do to ensure that our community, and then our students are able to succeed,” Morales said, speaking behind a decorated podium. “It takes a community, and I’m a proud resident of Wilder.”…
