Former mayor Nancy Merrill and Robert Gillis will join the Eagle City Council next year.
According to unofficial race results from Ada County, Merrill and Gillis were the top two candidates in the seven-candidate race. They will replace current council members Helen Russell and Melissa Gindlesperger, both of whom did not run for reelection. Merrill got approximately 23.5% of the vote, and Gillis received 22.2% of the vote.
They beat out Steve Bender, who received 18.7% of the vote, Kenny Pittman, who picked up 14.4% of the vote, Danielle Davis, who received 10.5% of the vote, Beth Haney, who received 6.2%, and Tom Letz who had 4.5% of the votes cast in his favor…
