Boise, ID – Idaho’s dry and mild spell won’t last much longer. A strong high-pressure system will keep skies clear and temperatures moderate through midweek, but conditions will shift dramatically by Friday as snow and rain return to the region—especially in higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service in Boise, a system moving in late Thursday into Friday will increase the chance for rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains. By Friday evening, areas like Brundage Mountain, Tamarack, and Bogus Basin could see snow chances near 75%, with mixed precipitation possible as early as Thursday afternoon. Rain will also impact lower elevations including Boise, Caldwell, and Ontario, where a 60% chance of precipitation is expected by Friday…
