BOISE — Within the span of an hour Thursday afternoon, a dozen community members brought flowers and candles to the site memorializing the death of 8-year-old Mora Gerety.
Tuesday at 4:42 p.m., Mora was hit by a pickup truck while crossing at the North Harrison Boulevard and West Ada Street intersection.
Before impact, both Mora and the truck were traveling west on Ada Street, a news release from the Boise Police Department said. At the time, traffic on Harrison Boulevard had been “backed up,” according to BPD. Mora paused at the northeast corner of the intersection while the truck reportedly stopped at a stop sign before making a right turn to head northward.
