PIT count takes snapshot of Canyon County, rural Idaho homeless problem

NAMPA — Individuals on the curb in Boise’s downtown are typically associated with Idaho’s depiction of homelessness. However, looking at homelessness in Ada County only skims the surface of what is a notable challenge for the state’s rural population as well.

Results from the 2025 Point in Time homelessness count, also known as the PIT count, show disparate pictures of homelessness in Ada and Canyon counties.
