Two Garden City restaurants have independently filed lawsuits against their former landlord, accusing the landlord of wrongful eviction, unjust enrichment, and defamation.
As BoiseDev reported, both Bao Boi and Tim’s Burgers closed at the Boardwalk in Garden City earlier this month. According to court records, each restaurant had a five-year lease at the property, but operated for less than a year.
Bao Boi previously told BoiseDev they were “illegally forced out of our place by the Boardwalk management.” BoiseDev also reported the closure of Tim’s Burgers next door. At the time, owner Tim Goebel would not elaborate on the reason for the closure other than that there had been “a breakdown in the recipe for success” at Tim’s Burgers…
