Keeping local dollars within the community

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — It’s Black Friday, and all over the country people are out shopping for the best deals. Here in Boise, small businesses are highlighting the importance of supporting local.

This morning, the Record Exchange had over 100 people lined up for Black Friday Record Store Day for their chance to get their hands on some exclusive releases. Similar to its sister event Record Store Day, celebrated in April.

“The (Record Store Day) organization decided to do a mini RSD for Black Friday to get people to go to independent record stores as an alternative to going to the mall or a big box store,” said Chad Dryden, the co-owner of The Record Exchange…
