CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Three people have been arrested in Canyon County after deputies uncovered an attempt to smuggle drugs into the women’s jail.
Two women who are inmates at the Dale Haile Detention Center and one man who is accused of being their accomplice were found attempting to smuggle meth into the jail. Canyon County Sheriff’s deputies learned that there would be an attempt to introduce methamphetamine into the detention center sometime around November 19th.
Deputies set up a surveillance operation, where they watched 41-year-old Joshua Taylor approach an area outside of the detention center’s laundry facility and place a bag in a secluded area. Deputies then retrieved the bag and replaced it with a decoy. The bag Taylor dropped off contained 4.5 grams of methamphetamine…
