EAGLE, Idaho (CBS2) — Eagle Police arrested a driver for providing false information and illegal possession of a placard after deputies caught them illegally parking in an accessible parking.
On Dec. 2, at approximately 7 p.m., an Eagle deputy observed a Volkswagen occupying an accessible parking space near Eagle Road and State Highway 44 without displaying a proper accessible parking plate or placard. The driver initially claimed to have a placard and presented it to the deputy.
Although the placard was issued in Washington, the driver insisted it belonged to them. Upon further investigation, the driver admitted the placard belonged to their spouse. The deputy confirmed that the placard was registered to someone in Washington who was not the driver…
