DHS reposts bar’s free drink offer tied to immigration tips, sparking backlash

What started as a stunt by a small Idaho bar has now turned into a national argument about immigration, ethics, and even government judgment.

In Eagle, Idaho, the Old State Saloon posted on X that anyone who helps Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho” would get “FREE BEER FOR ONE MONTH.”

The offer, first detailed by New York Post reporter Michael Sinkewicz, even promised that the bar “may award multiple months to one person if multiple illegals are deported.”…
